Yes! Saunas and steam rooms are safe for regular use. However, you should always consult with your doctor first if you have any doubts about using a sauna or steam room.

  • Steam rooms are similar to saunas as both encourage you to sit in a small, heated room, and both offer wonderful health benefits. The major difference is in the type of heat they provide. Dry saunas use dry heat, usually from hot rocks, a closed stove, or infrared heat. Steam rooms are heated by a generator filled with boiling water.
  • While dry saunas may help relax and loosen your muscles, they don’t have the same health benefits of a steam room. The key to the steam room’s unique health benefits is the humidity. Compared to dry saunas, steam spas may deliver stronger benefits through its ability to rejuvenate skin and flush toxins.

  • Steam rooms are all-star stress relievers, yes. However, they are even better at eliminating toxins, rejuvenating the skin, improving circulation, relieving achy muscles, and much more. All you have to do to tap into steam room benefits is sit back and relax.
  • Researchers in the Nordic region agree that the more steam, the better! Daily sauna bathing in the Nordic region is a local secret to longevity, heart health, and the treating of certain ailments.

  • Researchers in the Nordic region agree that the more steam, the better! During a study of over 20 years, researchers found that the higher frequency and duration of sauna bathing were associated with a lower risk of sudden cardiac death, fatal coronary heart disease and all cause-mortality.
  • Recent studies confirm that upping heat sessions from once weekly to daily is associated with a drastic drop in risk of chronic diseases and cardiac events like strokes.
  • Getting to a spa or gym to use a steam room daily may be too difficult to squeeze into your hectic schedule. However, with our Signature Spa you can pop into a sweat session at a moment’s notice and enjoy all the wonderful benefits of daily Steam Spa usage.

  • If you’ve never used a steam spa before, sources like the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Sauna Society, and expert sauna bathers generally agree: You should start small.
    • For beginners. Don’t use your Steam Spa for more than 5 to 10 minutes at a time.
    • After exercising. Wait at least 10 minutes before entering the Steam Spa after exercise.
    • At maximum. Don’t use the Steam Spa for more than about 15-30 minutes at a time.
  • While some experienced users, especially in the Nordic region, may turn their sessions into a longer event, don’t overdo it. The longer you stay in the Steam Spa, the more you risk dehydration, so a general rule is to cap your time to 15 to 20 minutes. Always remember to bring enough drinking water into the Steam Spa with you
  • The Finnish, who the word “sauna” comes from, may have an even simpler suggestion since heat therapy is meant for relaxing, not ticking off minutes: Leave your Steam Spa once you feel hot enough.

  • General care tips:
    • Empty the floor liner after each use and allow the unit to air dry. After, take a towel and wipe down the space between the metal piping and the walls. Clean the Steam Spa by wiping it down with a damp towel. Unzip and let air dry.
    • Empty the steamer after each use and wipe dry completely.
    • Due to the heavy steam production of this unit, discoloration of the metal piping will naturally occur and this is normal.
    • Upon opening the package, the Steam Spa may have a natural odor from the new material that went into manufacturing. This is natural and will quickly fade. You can set up the Steam Spa and allow it to air out for 1-2 hours.
    • Pro tip for faster drying: unzip the Steam Spa on two sides and tip the Steam Spa against the wall so it is leaning on one corner. This will allow any condensation formed on the unit floor and Steam Spa to dry quicker.
    • Please allow the unit to dry fully before storing to ensure maximum freshness for next use.

  • What you may be seeing is a buildup of minerals found in water called limescale and is commonly found in kettles and coffee machines. It is particularly found in locations where there is hard water with higher concentrations of magnesium and calcium.
  • While it is not harmful, limescale can form if a steamer is not properly dried and wiped down after each use (standing water encourages a buildup of limescale).
  • As a top tip, be sure you don’t leave any water in your steamer once you’ve finished using it. Wipe dry after each use.
  • If you notice this substance, you can remove it by mixing one part white vinegar with one part water and boiling the mixture in the steamer for 5 minutes. After, let the mixture cool completely and discard. If there is still residue, repeat the process. When the residue is removed, rinse the inside of the steamer and lid thoroughly with water and dry completely. It will look good-as-new!

  • Steam Spas are generally safe to use for most individuals. However, those with cardiovascular disease, someone who’s had a heart attack, and individuals with low blood pressure should speak with their physician before using one.
  • Due to the risk of dehydration and dizziness (thanks to increased sweating), individuals with kidney disease should avoid Steam Spas.
  • People on certain medications, those who have consumed alcohol or other drugs should avoid using the Steam Spa. Please consult with your doctor first.
  • Pregnant women may be advised to avoid Steam Spas. Please consult with your physician.
  • Children under the age of 8 are advised to avoid Steam Spas.

  • Although there’s little research on using saunas, jacuzzis, hot tubs and steam rooms during pregnancy, according to the NHS, it is advisable to avoid using saunas and steam rooms during pregnancy because of the risks of overheating, dehydration, and fainting.
  • As you are likely to feel warmer than normal during pregnancy, due to hormonal changes and an increase in blood supply to the skin, using a Steam Spa can increase the likelihood of overheating and feeling faint. Therefore, you may want to avoid situations where you could get too hot, such as sitting in a sauna or steam room.
  • Pregnant individuals are advised to consult their physician prior to using a steam room.

  • While saunas and steam rooms are generally safe to use, you should always consult with your doctor before using a sauna or steam room. For instance, people on certain medications should avoid using the sauna at all times so you should consult with your doctor if you plan to use the sauna while on medication.
  • People with cardiovascular disease, those who have had a heart attack, and individuals with low blood pressure should consult with a physician prior to using.
  • While steam heat therapy can be beneficial for certain respiratory issues, it can also be a problem for others. Please consult with your physician.

Shipping and Returns

  • Once your order ships, you will receive an email containing your tracking information. If you have not received your shipping confirmation email and your order date is past 5 days, please let us know by email info@nordicways.boutique. We will be happy to figure out what is going on.

  • We offer a 30 day return policy for all of our products. After 30 days we won't be able to accept a return or exchange.
  • To be eligible for a return on your item it must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Due to the heavy sweat produced by this product, returned products must be unused.
  • Non-returnable items: Gift Cards, Refurbished Items, and Used Steam Spas.
  • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable) with visible signs of use:
    1. Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts, for reasons not due to our error.
    2. Any item that is returned within 30-days after delivery.

We only exchange items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@nordicways.boutique for assistance. A support representative will be sure to contact you back with the next steps and shipping requirements.

Shipping

Nordic Ways orders typically ship in the same business day they are placed (Monday-Friday, 12pm CST cutoff). The average delivery time is 3-5 business days after your order has been shipped, but may arrive sooner. Delivery times may vary due to the location you are located in and weather that may disrupt local deliveries

Once your order ships, you will receive an email containing your tracking information. If you have not received your shipping confirmation email and your order date is past 5 days, please let us know by email info@nordicways.boutique . We will be happy to figure out what is going on.

In the odd chance that your order arrived damaged or non-working, please send an email to info@nordicways.boutique with your order number and details about the problem and we will find a solution for you.

All customer requests for repair or replacement of any item are required to include photos in order to fulfill your requests. Photos are required to confirm the extent of damages for the manufacturer to determine if replacement parts or a full unit replacement is required.

Please follow the directions below to submit a Damage Claim:
  1. All Damage Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of receipt of order.
  2. Contact us via email (info@nordicways.boutique) titled "Damage Claim" with as much detail as possible. e.g Name & Order ID#
  3. Attach photos of all damages and include a photo of the shipping box for the damaged item. Keep all boxes until the claim has been completed.
  4. A customer service member will contact you by email and/or phone within 2 business days of receipt of your online claim form with additional instructions.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@nordicways.boutique. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Warranty

  • We stand by the quality of our products. All Nordic Ways Steam Spas are warranted against manufacturing defects for (24) Twenty-Four Total Months. Accessories and other non-Steam Spa goods are not covered by the warranty.
  • In order to activate your Free (12) Month Warranty Extension, please follow the directions here.
  • Warranty extension must be activated during the first 6-months after purchase. It’s fast and easy to activate, so we recommend activating it as soon as possible.

Nordic Ways LLC (“Nordic Ways”) warrants that its products will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for the period listed below (the “Limited Warranty Period”).

24 Month Limited Warranty Period (with Extension Activated): Twelve (12) without Extension Activated). From original purchase date.

During the Warranty Period, Nordic Ways will repair, replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

  • It’s fast and easy to activate, so we recommend activating it as soon as possible (must be extended in the first 6-months from purchase date).

All Nordic Ways Products are warranted against defects in manufacturing and workmanship under individual consumer use, as per our 1-Year Warranty

You pay shipping cost both ways, to us and back to you.

5-10 business days will be required for repair or replacement before your repaired product or replacement product is shipped out to you. All repaired or replacement products will be shipped by ground courier service and a tracking number will be emailed to you once the shipment is in transport.

At our discretion, we may ship out a replacement part in lieu of return-repair. In this case, you pay ship cost to mail the replacement part to you.

The Warranty Period for Physical Goods purchased from Nordic Ways is 12-Months from date of purchase (24-Months after free warranty extension activation). A replacement Physical Good or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original Physical Good or 24 months from the date of replacement, or repair, whichever is longer.

  • Normal wear and tear of Product use.
  • Misuse, lack of care, mishandling, accident, abuse, or other abnormal use.
  • Use of the Product other than for its intended purpose.
  • Damage caused by improper or unauthorized repair or maintenance.
  • Product that has been modified or altered.
  • Any product that is not manufactured by Nordic Ways (including, without limitation, any non-Nordic Ways product that is used in connection with the Product).
  • Any Product that is not purchased from a Nordic Ways authorized retailer.

Many resellers who sell through Amazon.com or other online sites are not authorized retailers or resellers of Nordic Ways Products. When purchasing Nordic Ways Products it is important to note where the product is being “shipped from and sold by” which is stated in the header of each product. Warranties are only available for Nordic Ways Products sold by authorized sellers. Please contact Nordic Ways directly before you make your purchase if you are uncertain if you are purchasing from an authorized retailer- info@nordicways.boutique.

WARRANTIES ARE NON-TRANSFERRABLE. SECOND-HAND ITEMS, INCLUDING SALES FROM WEBSITES SUCH AS CLASSIFIED AD SITES AND CRAIGSLIST, ARE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.

Once you have received your product and you are satisfied please go ahead and register your warranty on our registration page.This will confirm your purchase and will validate your (12) Twelve Month Warranty. Please be sure that your information is correct before you submit your warranty. If you think you submitted wrong information please contact us.

Orders

We strive to process orders as quickly as possible. That being said, all modification and cancellation requests must be sent to Nordic Ways within 24 hours from the time the order was placed. We will try to accommodate any order change. The quickest way to get a hold of us is by emailing us at info@nordicways.boutique. Please be sure to include your order number and to let us know what the issue is. We will be sure to let you know, as quickly as possible, whether we were able to make the wanted changes.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay & Bitcoin for online orders.

We do not offer discount codes at the moment, however, we do run special promotions through our newsletter list from time to time. If you would like to hear about promotions first please subscribe to our newsletter in the footer of this page.

Sharing Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

Text Marketing and Communications

By entering your phone number in the checkout and initializing a purchase, subscribing via our subscription form or a keyword, you agree that we may send you text notifications (for your order, including abandoned cart reminders) and text marketing offers. Text marketing messages will not exceed 10 a month. You acknowledge that consent is not a condition for any purchase.

You’ll get your gift card in a digital code format by email. The 25-character code can be printed, forwarded by email, or sent over instant message.

No, gift cards purchased at retail never expire.
